Besides mid-canon set things, I'm willing to play Rogue in either of the two post-X3-canon "universes" mentioned below.
Post-Canon
Simply after X3. Rogue has taken the cure, unaware it's temporary, and has no powers. Willing to play this immediately after or down the line as the powers start to reemerge.
Post-Canon AU
As Rogue's powers return from the temporary cure, things, as they have the habit of doing, go wrong. Someone gets hurt, completely by accident, and Rogue runs. Again. This time, though, it isn't Logan who finds her. It's Mystique, who has taken on a new form. While taking care of Rogue, she also begins to steer her toward a harder stance against humans and works on turning her into a weapon.
